  The Scallywags
Liz and George are “The Scallywags” a new
formidable team, full of energy and enthusiasm.

  Bedtime Stories
Liz will start the weekend off with her
“Friday Night Frighteners” story telling, though
rest assured Mums and Dads there will be some
 tamer ones at the beginning of the night for the little ones.
Friday 9pm – 10pm Training Centre Lounge
 Wearable Arts and Percussion Workshop “Rumble in the Jungle” 
Marguerite will join “The Scallywags”, for a fun filled workshop of arts, percussion and singing. Marguerite will help children create Jungle wearable arts pieces and “The Scallywags” will lead a junk percussion workshop. Junk percussion pieces will be created to use while the children parade their Wearable Arts creations at the Black Board concert on Sunday. Children can opt to make a wearable arts piece, create a percussion piece or do both if time permits. Adult helpers would be much appreciated for children under five.

Easter Egg Hunt “The Great Eggspedition”
“The Scallywags” have forgotten the magic word that conjures up the Easter eggs. Can you help them remember the magic word that leads to the pot of chocolate?  The younger children will have their own Easter egg hunt with Marguerite.

Wearable arts workshop
 Have you ever wanted to be a an animal from the
Jungle? This is your chance to come along and create
your own costume. You can bring along old costumes
too. Such as…your grandfather’s pyjamas or Mum’s old
T-shirt and design it into something wild! Using skills of cutting,
weaving, tying, sewing and ripping, you can make a fantastic
costume. Join the parade to show off your completed costume during the black board concert, this will be a memorable experience for those involved.  Children will be encouraged through dance, drama and music to become the character of their choice. 
 Saturday 1pm – 3pm & Sunday 1pm – 2pm Tui Lodge Kitchen
   
 
Craig Smith
His “Wonkey Donkey” song won the APRA 2008 New
Zealand children’s song of the year and this year has received the go ahead for the song to be turned into a book by Scholastics along with “Willbee the Bumblebee”.His “Wonkey Donkey” song also made it to the final 25 of the ISC
(International Song Competition) children’s song section .

Concert
Don’t miss this talented musician. You’ll love his songs, the
lyrics and the humour. This is a concert that all ages will enjoy.
Saturday 11am – 11.30am Bantam Coop
Workshop
Join Craig and learn songs from your favourite artists. He will also assist you in performing as an individual or as a group for the blackboard concert if you wish to participate.
Saturday 2pm – 3pm Training Centre

   
 

Adrian Kirk
His enviable skills as a juggler, unicyclist and
comedian and Master of Ceremonies, are slick and
polished, but that is just part of the story. His real
strength lies in his ability to captivate any audience.

Performance
He’s back and with some new acts…join Adrian
 for a fun performance of juggling, unicycling
and comedy.
Saturday 10am – 11am & Sunday 11am – 12midday Bantam Coop
Circus workshop
Come along and learn some great circus moves, including juggling, balancing and acrobatics and have loads of fun. Bring an adult with you and best for children over 7 years of age.
Saturday 3.30pm – 4.30pm & Sunday 3.00 – 4.00pm the grounds

   
 

Other events you shouldn’t miss
Barn dance
Put your dancing shoes on, find a partner and join in the fun. You are welcome to stay until 9pm then, SORRY, it’s adult’s time.
Friday 7.30pm – 9pm
Blackboard Concert
The festival children are our next generation of performers. This is their concert platform - singing, dancing, instrumental, story telling, anything they choose. We encourage you to encourage your children.
Sunday 2pm – 3pm
Water Slide & Swimming hole

Let’s hope the weather is warm as this is great fun. Located in the paddock next to the main hall, also don’t forget the swimming hole. Parents/guardians, please supervise your children.
