Everyone is
welcome to be a part of this unique, friendly festival experience over Easter weekend
21th-24th March 2008.
Just 40 minutes north of Christchurch in the picturesque and historic Waipara Valley, amongst
North Canterbury’s famous vineyards. An unashamedly great weekend consisting of:
Concerts The evening concerts provide the major musical
focus of the Festival featuring all the main guests and others. Afternoon concerts are more
relaxed and informal.
Kids Extensive Educational and Entertainment Programme which will keep the kids happy all weekend.
Workshops - Informative, educational and fun. Catering
to both musicians and non-musicians alike. Life is about learning and this another chance at it.
Barn Dance On Friday night to leave your cares behind and mix with other “festival goers”.
All dances can be learnt as you go. Some easier dances allow the children to join in.
Blackboard & Kids Concerts your turn to play
to an audience, everyone welcome to participate. Every year new talent is uncovered.
Jam Sessions These happen in a range of venues
after the concerts or around a fire at night and just about everywhere through the day.
Festival Choir open to everyone
Bunk Rooms These are on offer for the non-campers amongst us on a first in first served basis.
Be quick if you want a room or a bunk as they go fast. Self-catering kitchen is available. Bring your own bedding.
Camping Sites The large site allows you to be in a quiet family oriented spot or in the thick of
the action. Private or public, quite or noisy. You pick your neighbours. Showers and self-catering kitchens available.
Swap Meet The festival’s buy, sell and exchange. Bring along your surplus, pick up a bargain, unload some excess
(musical and folky chattels only)
Café Food needs are met with three square meals a day with a vegetarian option. Snacks
and espresso coffee are available all day and at a reasonable cost. |
