Dear Canterbury Folk Festival members and supporters.

We need your help to secure the festival's future. Without additional office bearers and co-opted members to support our festival, it may become untenable to continue running the Canterbury Folk Festival in its current format.

​

To discuss the future of the club and seek new volunteers, we will be holding an Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Sunday the 15th of June 2025.

Why This Meeting Matters

 

At this AGM, we will cover:

• The usual AGM agenda items, financial statements, reviewing the past year’s achievements, etc

• Seek new office bearers to join the committee.

• Invite members to help support operations and events.

• Discuss the financial and operational challenges ahead. 

• How to make the 50th celebration of the club in 2026 worthy of those who have performed, hosted, volunteered to ensure this

• Gather ideas and input from members on how best to keep the festival thriving.

How You Can Help

 

The Canterbury Folk Festival has been a beloved home for folk music in our community for almost 50 years, and we want it to continue for years to come. If you have skills in event planning, financial management, administration, or simply a love for live music, we need you!
 

Whether you can take on a formal role or simply volunteer some time, your involvement will be essential in shaping the festival’s future.

 

We urge all members and supporters to attend this meeting and be part of the discussion. Your voice and participation will determine the next steps for the Canterbury Folk Festival.
