Blues Harmonica for Beginners with Mike Dr Blue

Type

Date

Workshop

Date TBC

You will learn:

1. When to suck and when to blow, (scale)
2. How to bend notes
3. How to make it wail or sound like a train.
4. Basic harmonica maintenance

What to bring:
Bring along a 10 hole diatonic harmonica, (like the one I am holding, their covers are sometimes black!) ideally one in the key of A major or an 'A harp' as it is known, which will play in the key of E major. The key of the harp is not essential but helpful, if we are to have a jam together.
Bring a small slip of wet and dry or fine sand paper (1cmx 3cm) for reed repairs (not essential as I always carry some in my gig bag)
A small screwdriver (cross head or flat head- depending on the fixing screws of the harmonica cover you want to remove), again not essential as I carry these with me. If the covers of the harp you want to fix, are held in place with pins, don't worry as these can be eased off with a knife blade.

If you have any old harps that buzz, or if certain notes/positions wont play, I may be able to fix them after the workshop. I charge koha but - NO fix no fee!
