Mike Dr Blue

Mike Dr Blue is a stunning Roots and Blues musician, award winning vocalist, poet and story teller.

Dr Blue has played solo on live stages across the world from Glastonbury and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, to Festival stages in Australia, Holland and Aotearoa. Now residing in Pōneke, he has been a regular feature on Folk Club and Festival stages across the North and South Island over the last 5 years.

A keen performer whose infectious enthusiasm and drive, will often have a room singing and dancing. His repertoire includes the Mid Century Songbook, as well as his own original material. He is just as happy walking around ,playing to small groups acoustically (Harbour Jazz and Blues Festival, Upton Blues Festival, Dundee Blues Festival) as he is playing on a large festival stage (Garden of Unearthly Delights- Adelaide, Theatre Stage Glastonbury UK or Firery Tongeus Festival Holland).
